NIGERIA: Sowore Asks President Tinubu For Presidential Villa, Logistics for 5,000 Supporters
The party, which has named Omoyele Sowore as its presidential candidate, also requested food, drinks and logistical support for 5,000 participants expected to attend the event.

The African Action Congress (AAC) has written to President Bola Tinubu, requesting permission to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on November 11, 2026.
The party, which has named Omoyele Sowore as its presidential candidate, also requested food, drinks and logistical support for 5,000 participants expected to attend the event.
In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena, the AAC said the requests were based on the principles of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness and equal treatment of political parties.

The party reportedly cited similar arrangements extended to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), arguing that opposition parties should enjoy equal access to public institutions and facilities.
The AAC maintained that government institutions should serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination, regardless of their political affiliations.
It also challenged the Tinubu administration to demonstrate its commitment to fairness and political equality by considering its request.
The party’s proposed inauguration is scheduled for November 11, 2026, with participants expected from within Nigeria and abroad.
