Namibia is strengthening its position in Africa's energy market, with Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote unveiling plans for a major petroleum storage and regional pipeline project in Walvis Bay.

The event, attended by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and senior government officials, marks a significant investment proposition aimed at expanding fuel storage capacity and improving distribution across Southern Africa.

The proposed facility is expected to hold at least 1.6 million barrels of petrol and diesel.
