Deputy Governor Hamzat Unveils 100-Point Manifesto, Promises More Prosperous Lagos
Hamzat unveiled the manifesto on Friday at the Wole Soyinka Centre, Iganmu, Lagos, where he outlined his plans for the state if elected governor.

The Lagos State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, has unveiled a 100-point manifesto, promising to sustain the state's development and make it more prosperous for residents.
Hamzat unveiled the manifesto on Friday at the Wole Soyinka Centre, Iganmu, Lagos, where he outlined his plans for the state if elected governor.

The deputy governor said children would remain at the centre of his administration's development agenda, adding that the manifesto contained 100 pledges he was committed to fulfilling.
Among his key promises is the provision of 580 additional hospital beds to improve access to quality healthcare across the state.

He also pledged to improve road infrastructure and transportation, including activating the Fourth Mainland Bridge project.
Hamzat disclosed that his administration would pursue the establishment of a university of medicine to provide more opportunities for young Nigerians seeking careers in the health sector.

On education and workers' welfare, he promised to strengthen teachers' professional development and review the compensation package for Lagos State workers.
The APC candidate also pledged to reduce food prices by improving the process of moving agricultural produce from farms to consumers.
Other priorities outlined in the manifesto include equipping young people with relevant and future-ready skills, providing cheaper broadband services, strengthening security and creating more opportunities for residents to build and prosper.
Earlier, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu praised Hamzat for his commitment and selflessness in public service.
Sanwo-Olu recalled that his deputy had sacrificed his governorship ambition in 2018 to support his emergence as the APC candidate.
He also expressed confidence that the transition from his administration to the next would be peaceful and without rancour.
The Lagos State governorship election is scheduled to hold on February 6, 2027.
