The eight Zamfara State lawmakers who resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) a few weeks ago met with President Bola Tinubu last night and have resolved to return to the party to work for its success in the 2027 general election.

They were led to the President by the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, who was accompanied by House of Representatives member, Aminu Sani Jaji.

Despite reports of their imminent defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the lawmakers will no longer join the opposition party, as moves to address their grievances are underway following the meeting with the President.

- Ibrahim Tukur Bakura (Bakura)

- Faruk Musa Dosara (Maradun I)

- Bashir Abubakar Masama (Bukkuyum North)

- Muktaru Nasiru Kaura (Kaura North)
